Here we go!

With the start of my 48th year, I decided to start a Preble Family site.  I am hoping we can eventually expand this into a full-blown website through which our extended family (especially those who have resisted joining the Social Networking world) can keep in touch.  Here are a few of my ideas.

This can be a place where we can share our victories and losses, photos (oh, the photos!!), life events, and just the day-to-day happenings.  It'll probably also be a place where I share my wandering thoughts.  Maybe some other family members will decide to contribute blog entries from time to time.  We all have stories to share.  We could make this our virtual dining table.  Sometimes it'll be the "adult's" table and sometimes it'll be the "kid's" table.

My plan is to link a calendar so we can all know when (and maybe even where) those important life events are occurring.  Also, I will set up a link to a photo sharing account, or two (Snap fish, Photo Bucket, Picassa...?), so we can all upload photos to share!  If you have ideas of other things we should add to this site, please let me know.

So as I learn more about this site, I'm going to try to exploit it's every capability.  Please let me know if you have troubles with the site or ideas to make it even better.
